Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team vs. LV Fire & Rescue
Join me in supporting our troops at the softball doubleheader  between the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team and the Las Vegas Fire & Rescue firefighters team on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 1 p.m. at Lorenzi Park field No. 1. Admission is free. I will be presenting a proclamation to the Wounded Warrior team on behalf of the Mayor, City Council, and all of Las Vegas.  This team represents some of our nation's bravest and most determined heroes, soldiers and veterans. These young men have sustained severe injuries resulting in amputation while serving in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Through extensive rehabilitation and perseverance, they have become competitive athletes again. The Warriors have challenged our fire department – come watch this softball showdown!  For more information on the Wounded Warrior Amputee team, go online.
