Tourist Location, Movie Location!
Las Vegas is well known as a top tourist destination, but it’s also a mecca for movie making. “The Hangover,” “Casino,” “Leaving Las Vegas” and “Last Vegas” are just a few of the many blockbuster films made here. Now there’s a new incentive to draw moviemakers to Nevada. Starting soon the state will offer cinema tax credits. Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman worked with State Senator Aaron Ford for the passage of a film incentive bill in the last legislature. To learn more visit the Nevada Film Office at www.nevadafilm.com .
