Roadway Closure Planned For Grand Teton On Sunday
Day-Long Closure Due To Storm Drain Construction

On Sunday, March 23, the southern half of the Tenaya Way/Grand Teton Drive intersection will be closed to through traffic to allow for storm drain construction.

Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m and the work will be completed on Sunday.  East and westbound traffic on Grand Teton Drive will not be impacted nor will the northern half of the Tenaya Way intersection.
The project consists of the construction of a storm drain box culvert along Grand Teton between Rainbow Boulevard and Durango Drive, which will convey storm water underground to help eliminate the majority of the impact of major storms like the one experienced last August.

Las Vegas Paving Corporation is the contractor. The city of Las Vegas is managing the project and The Louis Berger Group is the construction manager. The Clark County Regional Flood Control District provides funding for this project and the estimated cost is approximately $11 million.
