Mardi Gras Celebration March 1 At Charleston Heights Arts Center
Creole Stomp To Perform Louisiana Favorites At 7 P.M.


Plan to enjoy the best of Louisiana music Saturday, March 1, at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, located at 800 S. Brush St. Tickets for a 7 p.m. Mardi Gras celebration with Creole Stomp are priced at $10 in advance and $15 on event day. Purchase tickets early to receive a complimentary Mardi Gras mask and beads. Festive Creole food such as beignets, jambalaya, hot links and a cash bar will be available for purchase and provided by At Your Service catering. The program is presented by the city of Las Vegas.

A favorite on the Cajun-Zydeco dance circuit, Creole Stomp is noted for its exciting two-steps, waltzes, and hard-driving rhythms.  If you are longing to experience the exceptional music of Louisiana, from swamp pop to blues, this is the Mardi Gras party for you. Band members Dennis Stroughmatt (lead vocals, fiddle, accordion), Rob Krumm (vocals, bass, scrub board), Jon Watson (drums), Robert Russell (vocals, lead guitar) and Bob Case (steel guitar) will leave you breathless. Wear your dancing shoes!
