Bonneville And Clark Avenues To Be One-Way From First Street To Maryland Parkway Starting Oct. 24
Change Part Of Second Phase Of Bonneville/Clark One-Way Couplet Project

Beginning Oct. 24, Bonneville Avenue will become a one-way street eastbound from First Street to Maryland Parkway. The one-way street is now being extended from Las Vegas Boulevard to Maryland Parkway,

Likewise, beginning Oct. 24, Clark Avenue will become a one-way street westbound from Maryland Parkway to First Street. Previously, Clark was operating as a one-way street westbound between Las Vegas Boulevard and First Street. The one-way street is now being extended from Las Vegas Boulevard to Maryland Parkway.

This change is part of the $4.6 million Bonneville/Clark One-Way Couplet Phase II Project that started construction in February 2013. This project provides improved traffic flow, full-depth roadway reconstruction, sidewalk in-fill and repair, storm drain installation on Bonneville, and traffic signal upgrades required for the one-way conversion.

The contractor, Las Vegas Paving, Inc., has placed message boards on Las Vegas Boulevard warning of the coming street conversion. Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through the area.

The project is on schedule with expected substantial completion in November 2013. The city of Las Vegas is managing the project. Funding is provided by the city of Las Vegas (1% Room Tax), the federal 2009 and 2010 Omnibus Appropriation Acts, and the Federal Highway Administration Surface Transportation Program through Clark County.
