Mobile Home Fire Displaces Five People
Fire Investigators Believe Cause of Fire Was Accidental

Firefighters from Las Vegas and Clark County responded to the Millenium Mobile Home, 830 N. Lamb Blvd. at 4:23 Friday morning after a fire started in a double-wide mobile home. The two adults and three children inside the mobile home when the fire started escaped without injury.

The mobile home was heavily involved with fire when firefighters arrived on scene. Firefighters had the fire extinguished in less than 10 minutes. Firefighters were able to confine the fire to the one unit.

Fire investigators believe the fire started outside the home in a trash can area. The fire then spread up the outside of the mobile home and entered the attic area through the eaves.  What caused the trash to catch fire could not be determined.

Damage was estimated at $50,000.

The American Red Cross is assisting the family of five. There were no reported injuries during the incident.
