Change In Performers For March 16 Downtown Las Vegas Free Concert
Gary Anderson Jazz Quintet Will Perform At Lloyd D. George Federal Courthouse

Due to unforeseen circumstances, there has been a change in the performers for the March 16 noon concert. The public is invited to bring lunch and enjoy the Gary Anderson Jazz Quintet in the Lloyd D. George Federal Courthouse Jury Assembly Room at 333 Las Vegas Blvd. South in downtown Las Vegas.

Tenor saxophonist Gary Anderson and his jazz quintet will feature the West Coast cool jazz music of Anderson's youth. Since relocating to Las Vegas in 2007, Gary has been playing steadily with the finest musicians on the local scene. Performing with Gary in the quintet are Tom Hall (saxophone), Cocho Arbe (piano), Steve Flora (bass) and John Plows (drums).

A native of Southern California, Anderson graduated summa cum laude from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Anderson toured with Woody Herman's Thundering Herd for five years as a featured arranger, music director and tenor saxophonist. He's played New York's Carnegie Hall and created music for hundreds of television, film and Broadway productions, including the "Itchy and Scratchy" theme from "The Simpsons." He continues to compose and produce music for television, live performances and special projects.

The concert is sponsored by the city of Las Vegas and the Lloyd D. George Federal Courthouse as part of the Downtown Cultural Series. Visit or call (702) 229-3515 for more information.
