Railroad Cottage Historic District

The railroad cottages were built between 1909 and 1911 by the San Pedro, Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad for its mid-level workers.  Sixty-four units were completed on four square blocks between Casino Center and S. Fourth Street, Garces and Clark Avenues.  Today, only 10 of the small, bungalow style concrete block houses remain, with one restored cottage located at the Clark County Museum and four restored cottages located at the Springs Preserve.
