City Council To Recognize National Car Collector Appreciation Day With A Car Show At City Hall
Classic Cars To Be Showcased From 6 To 10 a.m. On Clark Street

The Las Vegas City Council is scheduled to recognize National Car Collector Appreciation Day at the Wednesday, July 2, City Council meeting that will begin at 9 a.m. in City Hall council chambers, located at 495 S. Main St.

Ward 2 Councilman Bob Beers will host a classic car show in front of City Hall on Clark Avenue from 6 to 10 a.m. in celebration of the classic car industry in Las Vegas. The industry has a large economic impact on the city and is a focus of the annual SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) auto trade show that takes place in Las Vegas in November. Clark will be closed between Main and First streets by 5:30 a.m. to accommodate the car show.

In addition, Councilman Ricki Y. Barlow will recognize the Ward 5 Citizens of the Month, and he will also highlight the Catholic Charities Women, Infants and Children Program.

Also, Councilman Ross will recognize students from Ward 6’s Centennial High School for winning the lacrosse state championship.

The City Council will also recognize the Senior of the Quarter and a group of employees who have helped to streamline the city’s business licensing process.
