Landscape Improvements Construction To Impact Cheyenne Avenue Traffic Between Clark County-215 and Durango Drive
Work Starts Saturday, May 17

Starting Saturday, May 17, and continuing intermittently through Friday, May 30, there will be traffic impacts on Cheyenne Avenue, as city crews install landscape improvements along shoulder areas on the south side of the roadway.

On Saturday and Sunday, the outside eastbound lane of Cheyenne will be closed from Clark County-215 to Durango Drive. May 19-22, and again May 27-30, the outside eastbound lane will be closed from Clark County-215 to Hualapai Way. Each day the work will take place from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Motorists are urged to use caution in the work zone. Alexander Road is an alternate route for eastbound traffic.

The improvements will consist of grading, placement of decorative rock and metal structures, and placement of drought-tolerant landscaping. The work is being done by the city of Las Vegas Department of Operations and Maintenance.
