Construction Has Begun On Rainbow Boulevard Storm Drain
Work Will Also Include Relocation Of Sanitary Sewer And Water Lines

Motorists can expect delays along Rainbow Boulevard from Ann Road to Tropical Parkway for the duration of 2014 as new storm drains are constructed. The project will add storm drains, and relocate sanitary sewer and water pipes.

The project is a joint effort between the city of Las Vegas and the Clark County Regional Flood Control District (CCRFCD). It will cost $5.2 million and funding is provided by CCRFCD.

During the construction there will be a period where Rainbow Boulevard will be completely closed between El Campo Grande Avenue and Tropical Parkway. During the closure, Rainbow through traffic will be directed to use El Campo Grande and Rebecca Lane. Other than that closure, the contractor will maintain a minimum of one open lane in each direction on Rainbow.

Tenaya Way and Jones Boulevard are possible alternative routes for north south travel.

The contractor on the project is TAB Contractors Inc.
