Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman And Ward 3 Councilman Bob Coffin To Cut Ribbon To Open MTO Café Downtown
New Business Participated In City’s Quick Start Program

Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman and Councilman Bob Coffin are scheduled to attend the grand opening of the new MTO Café downtown on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m. The new eatery is located at 500 S. Main St. in the ground floor of the Las Vegas City Hall parking garage.

The MTO Café is part of the city’s initiative to bring ground floor retail offerings to office buildings, high-rise residential properties and parking structures.

The new café is located in Ward 3, represented by Councilman Coffin, and was awarded a $50,000 Quick Start Program grant by the City Council earlier this year. Under the Quick Start Program, qualified applicants are reimbursed up to $50,000 toward the cost of improving buildings and reducing retail vacancies in the city’s Redevelopment Area. Matching funds from the business are required.

MTO Café is expected to generate 25 new jobs when it opens.
