Las Vegas Fire Stations Host Open House During Fire Prevention Week
Saturday, Oct. 12, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.


At the end of Fire Prevention Week, all city of Las Vegas fire stations will be open to the public on Saturday, Oct. 12, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Visitors will be able to see the equipment that the firefighters use, take a tour of the fire station and talk to firefighters about fire safety. Fire safety education material will also be available for distribution.

Las Vegas Fire Chief William McDonald invites everyone to come and visit their local firefighters and learn how to prevent fires. “Preventing fires is key to saving lives and property in Las Vegas,” Chief  McDonald stated to the Las Vegas City Council on Oct. 3. “We invite everyone to stop by and visit our firefighters to learn about fire safety.”

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Open Houses have been held for more than 15 years during Fire Prevention Week allowing the public to visit the firefighters and learn about fire safety.
