Everyone Invited To Las Vegas Disability Awareness Day
Celebrate National Disability Awareness Month In Pioneer Park Oct. 19

Everyone is invited to join Ward 1 Councilwoman Lois Tarkanian for Las Vegas’ 22nd annual Disability Awareness Day on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Pioneer Park, located at 7449 Braswell Drive. The event is a day of fun aimed at raising awareness about available services for the disabled, and offering valuable information and entertainment. Free wheelchair safety checks and free lunch for the first 500 people will be provided by AAMCO Medical.  Admission and activities are free.

“I encourage everyone to come and learn about what is available to assist our disabled family members and friends,” said Councilwoman Tarkanian. “Bring the whole family. You will discover valuable resources and enjoy a free lunch, live entertainment and some quality time in one of our beautiful Ward 1 city parks.”

More than 60 providers of services for those with disabilities of all ages in Clark County will celebrate National Disability Awareness Month by offering information on their programs, products and services.
