Fire Damages Storage Unit
Firefighters Prevented Fire From Spreading To Several Other Units

Las Vegas and Clark County firefighters responded to the Security Storage facility, 3333 Meade Ave. at 2:18 Tuesday afternoon. On arrival, firefighters found very heavy smoke coming from a one-story storage building that was subdivided into several units, each had a rollup door. It was unclear how many units were involved with fire and the building was located at the very rear of the complex with only one way in. Accessibility was an issue.

Regardless, firefighters made an aggressive attack and found that only one unit was on fire and had the fire extinguished in five minutes.

Fire damage was confined to the one unit. It was full of contents; the value of the contents is unknown. Damage to the building was estimated at $5,000.

The cause of the fire is undetermined, but it appears it was accidental.

There were no injuries in connection with the incident.
