Las Vegas Firefighters Rescue Man Stuck In Chimney
Resident Had Locked Himself Out Of His Home

Las Vegas firefighters rescued an adult male after he got stuck in the chimney of his Gipsy Avenue (near Alta and Jones boulevards) home Thursday morning after he locked himself out of the house. The man was unharmed after the rescue and there was no damage to the chimney.

Firefighters received the call just before 9 a.m. Firefighters found the man stuck in a terra cotta type chimney with an approximate twelve inch opening stuck about five feet down in the chimney. Firefighters were able to simply pull him up and out without causing any injury to the resident or damage to the chimney.

The man told firefighters that he locked himself out of the house and thought he could re-enter using the chimney.
