Electrical Fire Damages Northwest Las Vegas Home
One Person Is Displaced By The Fire

One person is displaced after their northwest Las Vegas home caught fire early Tuesday morning.  No one was injured during the incident.  Fire investigators have ruled the fire accidental.

A fire engine was dispatched at 5:22 a.m. to the area northeast of Ann Road and U.S. 95 for smoke in the area.  When the crew arrived in the area, they found the smoke coming from a one-story house at 5825 Mansion Street.  A first alarm dispatch was requested for a fire in the attic of the home.

Firefighters arrived on scene and had the fire in the attic put out in a few minutes.

There was extensive damage to the attic.  Damage was estimated at $80,000.

Fire investigators believe the fire was electrical in origin in the attic area.
