City Council To Recognize Las Vegas Convention And Visitors Authority President/CEO Rossi Ralenkotter As Citizen Of The Month
City Council To Also Recognize Retiring Las Vegas FBI Special Agent In Charge


The Las Vegas City Council will recognize Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority President/CEO Rossi Ralenkotter at the Wednesday, Jan. 9, City Council meeting that will begin following the 8:30 a.m. Redevelopment Agency meeting in City Hall council chambers, located at 495 S. Main St.

Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman has chosen Ralenkotter as the January Citizen of the Month to thank him for his work promoting Las Vegas as the number one tourist destination in the world.

In addition the mayor will recognize retiring Special Agent in Charge of the Las Vegas Division of the FBI, Kevin Favreau. Special Agent Favreau joined the FBI in 1983 and has been in charge of the Las Vegas Division since December 2009.

Mayor Pro Tem Stavros S. Anthony is scheduled to recognize a team of city employees and others for their work in quickly responding to and mitigating a neighborhood issue involving hoarding last year.

Councilman Ricki Y. Barlow is scheduled to recognize the work of the Wendell P. Williams Elementary School Principal Brenda McKinney.

Finally, Councilman Steven D. Ross will recognize two high school students who are working to preserve Tule Springs and the Upper Las Vegas Wash.
