City Council To Recognize Retiring U.S. Magistrate Judge
Council Also To Recognize Organizers Of Upcoming Veterans Day Parade


The Las Vegas City Council will recognize retiring U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert L. Johnston at the Wednesday, Nov. 7, City Council meeting that will begin following the 8:30 a.m. Redevelopment Agency meeting in City Hall council chambers, located at 495 S. Main St.

Councilman Bob Coffin will thank Judge Johnston for his 25-years of service to the community as a U.S. Magistrate.

In addition, Mayor Pro Tem Stavros S. Anthony will recognize the organizers of the annual Las Vegas Veterans Day Parade. The parade is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, and will proceed from Charleston Boulevard to Stewart Avenue along Fourth Street.

Mayor Pro Tem Anthony is also scheduled to recognize Diabetes Awareness Month.

The City Council will also recognize Councilman Steven D. Ross for recently being honored as the Nevada League of Cities Elected Official of the Year. Councilman Ross currently serves as the President of the organization that serves as the state’s primary champion of local government.

Councilman Ricki Y. Barlow is scheduled to recognize the November Citizens of the Month, the employees at city of Las Vegas Starbucks location.

Finally, the City Council will also recognize the November Employee of the Month.
