City Of Las Vegas To Honor Veterans With Flag Ceremony and Luncheon
Join The Celebration Nov. 8 At Dula Gym And Las Vegas Senior Center

Las Vegas Ward 5 Councilman Ricki Y. Barlow invites all military veterans, their families and the public to the city of Las Vegas Dula Gymnasium at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, for light refreshments and an outdoor flag ceremony and drill team exhibition by the Rancho High School ROTC. The flag ceremony will take place at the flagpole in front of the Dula Gymnasium, located at 441 E. Bonanza Road.

Following the flag ceremony, the annual luncheon honoring veteran members of the Las Vegas Senior Center will be held at the adjacent center. Advance registration for the luncheon is required by Nov. 2. The luncheon will be free for veterans who have a current city of Las Vegas senior center membership. Veterans will be asked to fill out a questionnaire at the time of registration. There will be a $4 cost for non-veteran members of the center to attend the luncheon. Senior center membership costs $2 annually.

“I hope our military veterans and their families will attend and allow us to honor them for their service and sacrifice,” Councilman Barlow said.

The event is sponsored by the city of Las Vegas. Call (702) 229-6454 for more information and to register for the luncheon celebration. Call (702) 229-6307 for more information on the outdoor ceremonies.
