Vacant Restaurant Burns On West Sahara Avenue
Cause of Fire is Under Investigation

Las Vegas and Clark County firefighters responded to the old Arby’s fast food restaurant, 3121 W. Sahara Ave. (Valley View/Sahara) at 1:26 Sunday morning.  Fire dispatchers received several 9-1-1 calls that thick black smoke was coming from the vacant-boarded up one story structure.  When firefighters arrived on scene flames began to burn through the roof.

It took approximately one hour to put the fire out completely from the outside of the building.  The fire was confined to the building itself; no other buildings in the area were damaged.

The building was extensively damaged by the fire.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Both eastbound and westbound lanes on West Sahara Ave. were closed for approximately two hours because of fire hoses crossing the street.

There were no reported injuries.
