Annual Las Vegas Mayor’s Cup International Soccer Tournament Open To The Public Oct. 28-30
Youths Ages 10-15 From All Over North America To Compete


Everyone is invited to watch 318 youth soccer teams from 14 U.S. states, Mexico and Canada compete in the 12th annual Las Vegas Mayor's Cup International Soccer Tournament Oct. 28-30. The platinum-ranked tournament will be held at the Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex, Kellogg Zaher Sports Complex, Freedom Park, Ed Fountain Park, Centennial Hills Park and Teton Trails Park. The event is co-hosted by the city of Las Vegas and the Downtown Las Vegas Soccer Club.

Teams of boys and girls ages 10 to 15 will compete between 6 and 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28; between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29; and between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30. All Friday games will be played at Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex and will include primarily local teams. Admission to games is free all weekend. Spectators should bring their own seating, as thousands of people are expected to attend and participate.

"I am thrilled to continue the annual Mayor's Cup Soccer Tournament," said Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman. "This tournament has grown bigger and better every year.  I invite all Las Vegas residents to come share in the fun and see these wonderful young athletes compete  not only those from Las Vegas but also those from all over North America. It is an outstanding event!"

The Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex is located at West Lake Mead Boulevard and Tenaya Way. The Kellogg Zaher Sports Complex is located at 7901 W. Washington Ave., between Buffalo and Durango drives. Ed Fountain Park can be found at Vegas Drive and Decatur Boulevard. Centennial Hills Park soccer fields are at North Buffalo Drive and Elkhorn Road. Parking for Freedom Park soccer fields is accessed from Washington Avenue between Pecos and Mojave roads. Soccer fields in Teton Trails Park are accessed from Grand Teton Drive at Thom Boulevard.

Members of first- and second-place teams will receive individual medals in each age division, and a trophy will be awarded to all first-place teams. All players will receive a tournament program and collectible pin. Awards will begin at approximately 11 a.m. Sunday at Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex and continue throughout the day until approximately 4 p.m.
